Operating authority
Get your MC authority the right way
We prepare a complete application, coordinate BOC-3 and insurance filings, and keep you informed until it is granted.
Do I need MC authority?
For-hire carriers hauling regulated freight across state lines generally need MC authority in addition to a USDOT number. Freight brokers need broker authority. We confirm what applies to you first, so you never pay for something you do not need.
What we handle
- USDOT number (new or reactivated)
- MC authority application
- BOC-3 process-agent filing
- UCR and ongoing compliance reminders
What to expect
FMCSA sets the review and protest period (commonly several weeks) and requires insurance on file. Nobody can legally skip that timeline, but accurate paperwork prevents rejections and restarts.
Starting fresh? New carriers begin with their own record. Existing USDOT numbers keep their history, and FMCSA monitors for carriers that re-register to avoid it, so we only file accurate, truthful applications.
